The durable outer cover has a 420 denier packcloth base and a comfortable faux suede or soft fleece sleeping surface. The inner liner is a ripstop nylon that is odor and liquid resistant. All Parts are Machine Washable & Dryable:
- Every part of a Big Shrimpy bed or Landing Pad can be machine washed and dried
- A zippered cover and inner liner make beds easy to take apart to clean all components separately
- SmartFill can be washed and dried loosely in a machine for thorough cleaning
- Washability means the end-user can keep her pet’s bed looking and smelling new.
SmartFill is…
- Big Shrimpy’s 100% recycled, machine washable & dryable, polyester-fiber filling.
- Recycled directly from other manufacturer’s clean waste without reprocessing.
- A “low energy” recycled fiber because it is recycled without high-energy reprocessing.
- In contrast…recycled fiber made from plastic bottles requires a lot of energy to
gather, transport, clean, melt and extrude the plastic bottles into fiber.
Liquid & Odor Resistant Liner:
- A liquid and odor resistant ripstop nylon inner liner is used in Original and Nest beds.
- The ripstop nylon fabric has a waterproof barrier, but because we don’t tape the seams, we don’t claim that the liner is waterproof.
- The ripstop nylon inner liner resists doggie odors from permeating the filling, reducing the need to wash the SmartFill.
