It's a wire dog crate. It is everything it's supposed to be. There are three reasons why I like it better than other 30" crates. One is that it is slightly wider and taller than most other 30" crates [including other Midwest crates]. It's 30"x21"x24", as opposed to 30"x19"x21". The second reason is that it came with a simple, effective, easy to use divider panel. The crate will now grow with my puppy to his adult size. His "room" stays his "room" for him. The third reason is that this crate has two locks on the door. Never mind that this is harder for that extra clever dog to open, I think it is just safer for the dog. The two locks hold the door in it's closed position better. With only one lock at the center of the door, a puppy/dog can push the door at the top, or bottom, and get just enough space there to get a paw stuck, possibly leading to injury.
Bonus benefit that I didn't know about till I opened the box: The crate comes with TWO plastic snap on carry handles. Put them wherever you want them, i.e. two on top/sides for a two person carry when assembled, or one on top for assembled carry, one on side for folded up carry, really, any where on the crate you want to put a handle, or snap 'em off, snap 'em on. It's a nice feature they should mention in the crate's description.
The Pampered Pet Mart was the best place to buy this from. Not only was the crate less expensive than anywhere else, it shipped faster than anywhere else [including Midwest directly....go figure]. I had my crate in less than 4 days. Ordered it Sunday night, delivered to my door Thursday afternoon. Check it out....everyone else says the crate won't even leave Midwest for 4-5 business days, never mind travel time.
