Reviewer: cyncat321@msn.com 04/24/2007 For all who have experienced the frustration of early pump failure with other drinking fountains, (as did I) I highly recommend this one. I bought it around Christmas and paid a higher price, but have been more than pleased with the operation of the entire unit. Its filtering system is far superior to any of the other fountains I have tried, (even from this brand) thus putting less strain on the pump. And it is easier to take apart and re-assemble when cleaning is necessary. It's a step up in design and quality, and is well worth the price.

05/20/2007 My cats refused to drink out of their bowl and would only drink from the faucet. With this my cats have started drinking from it and no longer wake me in the middle of the night for water. It's great!!
09/17/2007 This stopped me from having to turn on the bathroom faucets for my cats! Had the original one but this platinum one is well worth the $.
09/22/2007 We are very pleased with the Drinkwell Platinum water
fountains. They are easy to clean and assemble. Also the
fountain is very quiet. We raise and show Persian cats so
the design of this product is extremely important to us.
Also the Pampered Pet Mart is going to be one of my
favorite places to shop. Fountains arrived quickly and we
were advised as to their arrival. The fountains were very
well packed.
10/18/2007 I had the original Drinkwell fountain when I first got cats. It ran out of water quickly, and the available attachments to expand the water reservoir were costly and junky. When I purchased the Drinkwell Platinum, I was [and am] thoroughly impressed! The reservoir is so large that it lasts at least a week before you need to add more water, and the filters do a great job to keep the water fresh. It's a great alternative to leaving the water in your sink faucet running for those cats that like the running [& not stale] water. It also has a very quiet motor, so you can't hear it. Just keep in mind though, just because you don't have to refill the reservoir frequently, you should still keep your eye on the cleanliness of the dish itself [my cats knock their dry food into it sometimes, or it gets fur in it that needs to be cleaned out]. Altogether, it is a healthy, wonderful thing that I recommend for any cat or small dog owner.
