Tips for using the SmartCat™ Adjustable Harness & Leash:
While inside, put harness on your cat and adjust it. To test the fit you should be able to slide one finger between the harness and the cat’s body.
Immediately place a dish of your cat’s favorite food in front of him.
After eating, give him a few minutes to get used to wearing the harness. Then remove it.
Follow the same procedure the next day. This time leave the harness on a little longer and attach the leash.
When kitty is comfortable wearing the harness, take him outside to a quiet location where he will not be frightened by cars or other animals.
Don’t expect the cat to walk by your side. Let him take you for a walk. The harness should be removed once the cat is back inside.
